Psychotherapist Anthony Storr (1920-2001) heralds solitude, as a pathway to personal growth, creativity, and meaning. In his seminal book, "Solitude: A Return to the Self" says we place too much weight on being with others to the detriment of our creative lives and inner worlds.
Being alone means being with ourselves and we can never be certain just what we will find inside.
