The thing under my bed waiting to grab my ankle isn't real. I know that, and I also know that if I'm careful to keep my foot under the covers, it will never be able to grab my ankle.

In this post I am going to talk about a fleeting moment that happened more than 40 years ago.
It was a hot spring day. On the field in the City Park the boys were playing a football match. The atmosphere was marked by their constant babble, frequent laughter and sometimes even small quarrels.
Suddenly a whistle of the referee interrupted the game and after that he ordered a penalty kick. All the players gathered around the goal and on their faces can be seen considerable tension. The goalie is now in the middle of the goal; he bends in his knees and is fully focused on the penalty kick. Another boy puts the ball on the ground, is underway, kicks the ball, the ball is now in the air and flies towards the goal ... and at that exact moment the history was frozen on the film in my camera.
Frankly, I don't remember how ended that decisive moment of the football game. It is quite possible that the ball was caught; but it is also possible that it was the winning goal. It is this ambiguity what still enchants me, while looking at this image. Because it entails a small unsolved mystery.
And here are some more pictures from this match.
The first electrical power station in Presov was built in 1894. The water turbine driven by a mill stream generated electricity for the town’s street lamps.
Two weeks ago was held a night happening to commemorate this historical event, with a light show and presentation of related historical documents.

On the last Sunday, while roaming nearby forests, I suddenly met two guys - maybe in their 50 s.
One of them, the stout one, ran on a small bike down the forest asphalt road. The bike was in relation to him excessively small and without pedals. The cyclist, however, was equipped with a small braking parachute that was fastened with straps to his back.
I need to say, I was quite taken aback, with this sudden situation that seemed to me pretty strange - almost surreal. The sincere joy from the game and the glow in their eyes touched me completely. When I said goodbye to them, I felt that after many of years, I met the true “big boys”.
