Graffiti is one of the few tools you have if you have almost nothing. And even if you don't come up with a picture to cure world poverty you can make someone smile while they're having a piss.
~ Banksy, Banging Your Head Against a Brick Wall Category: Urban Landscape Any fool can be happy. It takes a man with real heart to make beauty out of the stuff that makes us weep.
~ Clive Barker, Days of Magic, Nights of War Category: Urban Landscape The weird thing about houses is that they almost always look like nothing is happening inside of them, even though they contain most of our lives. I wondered if that was sort of the point of architecture.
~ John Green, The Fault in Our Stars Category: Urban Landscape We sit in the mud my friend and reach for the stars.
~ Ivan Turgenev, Fathers and Sons Category: Urban Landscape The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.
~ Marcel Proust Category: Urban Landscape Three classic log cottages, sitting atop one of the largest housing estates in Kosice, Slovakia, are a part of ‘the Folk Architecture Monument,’ conceived by Slovak artist Tomas Dzadon. The log cottages date from 1902 (Parnica) and 1965 (Liptovska Teplicka) are placed on the roof of a classic prefabricated 13-floor housing block. Their combined weight is approximately 42 tons.
Installation took place from August to September 2013, and the opening ceremony was on 28 September 2013, on the occasion when Kosice received the title – the European Capital of Culture. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.

A poem lovely as a tree. ~ Joyce Kilmer, Trees & Other Poems Category: Urban Landscapes Do you know how to drown a blonde? Stick a mirror to the bottom of a pool.
~ Stephanie Meyer, Breaking Dawn Category: Urban Landscape A heliport is a small airport suitable only for use by helicopters. Heliports typically contain one or more helipads and may have limited facilities such as fuel, lighting or even hangars. Helipads are common features at hospitals where they serve air ambulance transfers of patients to trauma units or to accept patients from remote areas without local hospitals or facilities capable of providing the level of emergency care required.

~ Stephen King Category: Urban Landscape Nick: Where am I?
Kyrian: Hospital. Nick: Really? No kidding? And here I thought I was at McDonald’s. ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon, Infinity Category: Urban Landscape Never trust a mechanic who drives new cars. They're either charging too much money for their work, or they can't keep an old car running - maybe both.
~ Patricia Briggs, Blood Bound Category: Urban Landscape I added into my blog a new category that will bear the name Urban Landscape. Next to categories of People and Urban Tales, this new category will complement view on the urban and suburban environment.
Every urban environment is in a constant state of change and is forever throwing up new visual relationships between the old and the new and redefining what might be termed a ‘sense of place’. The new category will cover the themes of housing, buildings, transport, city parks, city rivers, facades and so on, and will preferentially focus on structures or processes rather than on people. Urban landscape photography is often gritty, it’s not always pretty and it can be quite abstract. Category: Urban Landscape The extraordinary hides behind the camouflage of the ordinary.
~ Jacqueline Winspear, Maisie Dobbs Category: Urban Landscape Footfalls echo in the memory, down the passage we did not take, towards the door we never opened, into the rose garden.
~ T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets Category : Urban Landscape When the night has come
And the land is dark And the moon is the only light we'll see No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid Just as long as you stand, stand by me ~ Ben E. King, Stand by Me Category : Urban Landscape We have a responsibility to stand watch over one another; we are watchers, all of us, watchers, guarding against the darkness. ~ Dean Koontz
Category: Urban Landscape I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light.
