I had three chairs in my house; one for solitude, two for friendship, three for society.
~ Henry David Thoreau Category: Roots There are no dangerous weapons; there are only dangerous men.
~ Robert A. Heinlein, Starship Troopers Category: Roots Power, time, gravity, love. The forces that really kick ass are all invisible.
~ David Mitchell, Cloud Atlas Category: Roots Some birds are not meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild.
~ Stephen King, A story from Different Seasons Category: Roots Raindrops are my only reminder that clouds have a heartbeat. That I have one, too.
~ Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me Category: Roots Life is just like an old time rail journey ... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed.
~ Jenkin Lloyd Jones Category: Roots I wish I could close my eyes and be blown into dust and nothingness, feel all my thoughts disperse like dandelion fluff drifting off on the wind.
~ Lauren Oliver, Delirium Category: Roots Right now I am opening a new category, named ‘Roots’. Photographs here will represent some kind of a comeback to my photography beginnings.
My first touch with the photography goes back into the 1960s. And my first ever pictures, called photograms, were taken even without the camera. Images were made by casting light on a photo sensitive paper through opaque or semi-transparent objects. In the ongoing series, I want to explore and emphasize most especially shapes, lines and textures of subjects and decode the relationship between light and shadow. Images will therefore often very simple, perhaps naive, sometimes raw, now and then rather surreal or abstract. Category: Roots |
