Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star
Scorpions: Send Me an Angel
It’s raining, or rather it’s just drizzling. I am standing patiently at the edge of the sidewalk. I hold large and dark umbrella in my right hand, the camera is hung on my neck and rests on my chest. The camera is almost invisible, only wide-angle lens sticks out from my jacket. A cable release is plugged into the camera and a trigger on the other end is in my left hand, in the pocket of my pants.
An old man is approaching to me from the left - his walk is heavy and slow. He holds an umbrella in left hand and a walking stick in another. Man’s face is motionless. Right now he is passing me. If I had stretched out my hand, I could almost touch him. But for him I am an imperceptible thing. Only now I see that his eyes are sad and empty. At that moment I push the button on the cable release. The old man continues his walk in a very slow pace.
I slowly rise my head up, and I can see an angel, sitting high on the balcony railing. Perhaps he soon will bring him some light into his eyes.
