Each cloudscape is unique and worth savoring. Some cloudscapes, or clouds, feature such an array of color and arrangement of form that the result is beauty beyond description. To boost more drama from the light, forms, shapes and shadows, I very often prefer black and white processing.
The magic of clouds is, that they are ephemeral, always changing, disappearing into invisible vapor, and reappearing in visible form. When shooting cloudscapes it’s very important to keep your camera very still, use a polarizing filter and set your aperture at least at f/11.
Very photogenic and with a lot of drama are next two forms of clouds.
Cumulus congestus clouds are characteristic of unstable areas of the atmosphere which are undergoing convection.
