The photograph was taken during our two days winter hike in the Low Tatras Mountains. We stayed overnight in the woodcutter’s cottage which was unoccupied at that time, but we weren't alone. At the end of the day stopped there a bunch of young people and they asked us for a night shelter. That kind of housing was usually used for two-three persons but in the end it became a safe haven for the ten of us. Some spent all night above, in the loft, under the roof.
I see paintings or drawings in the poorest cottages, in the dirtiest corners. And my mind is driven towards these things with an irresistible momentum.
